Bloomington AIDS Walk
Formerly known as the Bloomington AIDS Walk, the Beyond the Diagnosis: HIV Visibility & Awareness Festival is a celebration of the community’s efforts in the face of HIV. It works to support members in the community that have the infection. The disease has so much stigma, it’s nice for clients to see that people do support them and are there to help fight the disease with them. It raises awareness that the disease is still prevalent. It may not be considered a death sentence anymore, but there are still many hurdles that someone with HIV might face.

By raising awareness in the community, it might help influence individuals to practice safer behaviors. Lastly, it is also a means to raise money. Money raised at the Walk directly helps patients and provides resources to reduce the incidence and prevalence of this disease. This is extremely important now as funding is being cut more and more each year.

Flower Power
Flower Power is a fundraising business that teams up with groups and organizations to sell bulbs and plants, splitting 50% of the profits.

Community Health Events
World AIDS Day
World AIDS Day is an international day of remembrance observed every December 1st. Every year, the CAAG holds a ceremony to remember the lives of those lost to HIV/AIDS. It is also a time to celebrate the strength and resolve of the communities most affected by HIV.

Prides
Bloomington Pridefest
Bloomington Pridefest is a free celebration of LGBTQ people and allies in Bloomington. The festival occurs on Kirkwood Avenue and features live performances, music, food, drinks, educational workshops, and interactive activities.
